WHO

Hej! I am so happy that you found my blog!

I am Yvette Larsson, an international Swede, who is passionate about learning innovation and helping people to find their passions and living a life on purpose, being as happy as possible, as often as possible, co-creating a better world together.

I use applied neuroscience, focusing on our human potential and the questions:

  • What does it mean to be human in a global age of technology?
  • What happens when we educate the heart?

I support individuals, teams and organisations by accelerating change in learning eco-systems so that humans can thrive better. I exist in learning eco-systems that challenge the status quo and disrupt old truths for the benefit of building sustainable eco-systems for humans to live in, with a great sense of belonging.

Professionally I am an IB educator and a co-founder of the education innovation concept AHA! Accelerating Education. I am also a trained Coach, Personal Trainer, Media & Communication + Science Journalist professional. My work comprises of the enhancement of human development through engagement, motivation, learning, science, body+brain connection, fun & play.

Through this platform I also share inspiration for you, so that you can, more easily, live with purpose and with a deeper awareness of what actually matters the most for you, decluttering the way for you and help you focus on the meaning of life, on how to be happy as often as possible, co-creating sustainable communities where everyone feels a sense of belonging. The world we live in is fast-paced. I will help you to navigate the ad-hocs of everyday life.

My personal story starts 100 kilometers above the Arctic Circle, where I grew up with a lot of freedom to roam the mountains and the forests of Swedish Lapland. I must admit that I was bored often. With hindsight I realise that I developed my sense of creativity from growing up in a UNESCO protected area with omnipresent nature as my playground. I also became an avid reader, I traveled in my imagination and explored ideas. I still do that. I am an introvert extrovert.

I became a vivid traveler early on, as my grand parents and my parents where explorers. I remember clearly, the first time when my grand mother came back from one of her travels with a whole bag full of seashells, that she picked for me at a faraway beach. That ignited my imagination to see the world and connect with people from other countries. I wanted to see the world! I got curious of the world we live in, the people, the different perspectives, languages, habits, architecture, art, design, literature, nature, food, what it means to be human, what unites us.

I speak Swedish, English, and French. I manage Norwegian and Danish. If I was left on an isolated island where people only spoke Spanish and Dutch I think I would manage to make myself understood. I have lived on The Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. I had a dream, as a teenager, to “live on a tropical island where they dance salsa”. On the Reunion Island they dance zega maloya. Good enough! I also lived in Provence, in southern France, another dream of mine. I love living my everyday life under the sun, and I hope I will be doing that again, one day. I spent 3 years in vibrant London, 3 years in cool Copenhagen and 6 years in breathtakingly beautiful Norway. Changing lives need courage and open-mindedness. It can be very challenging to change countries. I think I could actually write a book about it.

I like to challenge myself both physically and mindfully. I dream a lot, and set up goals for myself, my communities and the world. I am looking at what is possible. I am notoriously ( and for some, annoyingly) positive. If challenges occur, I am thinking of ways to solve things, to make things happen. Solutions run as a default in my system.

Speaking of running. I ran Copenhagen Marathon in 2011 and London half marathon in 2009. I spoke at TEDx twice. You can ask how that happened. I used to rebrand a country and I am an autodidact when it comes to digital story-telling. My talks were about destination branding and digital story telling.

I am lucky to have two amazing kids. They are teenagers now and not so keen on being public, so I leave it with that. I love them to bits and they are the two most important humans in my life.
